Hanako Miyamoto

My exploration of "home" began with my solo exhibition "Any Ordinary Home" at the Okawa City Seiriki Museum of Art in 2024.
I have continued creating art to confront the idea of family as an outsider, a relationship that is often incompatible with my own. In recent years, I have said goodbye to my grandparents, with whom I lived longer than my parents. Their aging and eventual end were deeply saddening to me, yet at the same time, incredibly beautiful. "Any Ordinary Home," "Everyday Lif at Home," and "HOME LIKE" are works that capture everyday events in a home by creating the concept of "home."
