Hanako Miyamoto

My exploration of "the home" began with my solo exhibition "Any Ordinary Home" at the Okawa City Seiriki Museum of Art in 2024.
I have continued creating art to address the idea of family -- a conflicting relationship for myself -- as from an outsider's perspective. In recent years, I have said goodbye to my grandparents, with whom I lived even longer than my parents. Their aging and eventual passing were deeply saddening to me, yet at the same time, incredibly beautiful. "Any Ordinary Home," "Everyday Life at Home," and "HOME LIKE" are works that capture everyday events in a home by creating the concept of "home."
